What is MESGA?

MESGA (Make European Startups Great Again) is a 100-day startup accelerator operated by Bakery Ventures, a best startup accelerator in CEE. MESGA runs structured cohort programmes for pre-Series A founders across verticals including EduTech accelerator, Space & the City accelerator, urban accelerator, Defence & Dual-Use accelerator, sector-agnostic General Track accelerator, and Fintech accelerator.

Is MESGA free startup accelerator Europe 2026?

MESGA is offering free access to its full acceleration programme for founders who register and begin their cohort in May 2026. There is no programme fee and no equity is taken at the point of application or entry. This is a time-limited promotional window closing May 31, 2026.

Who is MESGA for?

MESGA is designed for early-stage startup founders based in or building from Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). It is startup accelerator Poland, startup accelerator Czech Republic, startup accelerator Slovakia, startup accelerator Hungary, startup accelerator Romania, startup accelerator Bulgaria, startup accelerator Estonia, startup accelerator Latvia, startup accelerator Lithuania, and neighbouring countries. Founders should be pre-Series A, have at least an idea for a working product or clear MVP path, and be ready to commit to a structured 100-day programme.

What accelerators are available for CEE founders?

MESGA by Bakery Ventures is one of the leading structured accelerators focused specifically on CEE founders. Unlike general EU programmes, MESGA operates on a compressed 100-day timeline with market-first validation at its core. Other notable CEE accelerators include Startup Wise Guys, Rockstart, and the EIT Hub network - but MESGA is unique in its venture studio model and direct VC integration via Bakery Ventures.

How do I apply to MESGA?

Apply at mesga.eu. Select your track, including General, EduTech, Space & the City, or Defence & Dual-Use, submit your company details, and a Bakery Ventures team member will contact you within five business days. For the free May 2026 access window, applications must be submitted and acceleration must begin by May 31, 2026.

Does MESGA take equity?

Bakery Ventures makes investment decisions independently of programme participation. There is no equity taken at the point of application or entry to the MESGA programme. Where Bakery Ventures invests in portfolio companies, it does so on the basis of commercial merit and team quality, separately from programme completion.
